Etc etc etc etc, lot of really good cars pre 2001 mate. I could just keep typing but the good ones from mid 1960's to 2001 are endless......

  6. post 2001 you can breath what comes out of the exhaust, you might suffocate but you wont poison your self. 60+mpg is the norm, you can hit a wall at 60mph and chances are you will wall out of it. and bluetooth. gorra have bluetooth.
i was being a lil tongue and cheek there btw. i have this convo quite a lot with the olds that come in. i like to wind em up. :upyeah:

  7. Ahh, so dirty fecking scabby diesel doesn't poison then ??? :upyeah: 60mpg is the norm, if you drive a shit as fuck commuting box :( but ok, I'll give you the hit the wall idea.....But bluetooth ? Just buy a parrot (Not the dead parrot from Monty python)

All received tongue in cheek, but still a load of shit

  9. just for fun and little more

  10. Budget Noobola ??

  11. the intent was more about the car than the budget so what ever floats your boat money wise but remember cash is like inches, rarely a guaranty of quality of use

  12. And I assume, the value has at least got to hold steady or rise ??

  13. nope, think grunt more than specialist, just for fun

  14. Then my original idea of 8 series BMW, they are great fun, I've had 2. But also love the 928 Porsche (kin expensive if it breaks though) . Classic Audi quattro could be fun also. Lancia Integrale are awesome, but prices are huge currently. Mate, its really difficult cause there's so many, and we don't really know what you're after. If its literally for fun, then a Dax Rush/Westfield/Caterham is going to be hard to beat, or maybe even a V8 motor Cobra replica......... Oh and don't forget you could buy a piece of shit straight 6 slow as fuck Monza for less than a quid. :D

  16. Mazda series 4 rx7'13b turbo.
built to and did smash the 944 and 40k cheaper ... Available in NZ back in the day as a 3 -4 year old import for around the £3000.00.. Fantastic car for the money. Turbo lag was terrible to 3500 rpm ( my fully loaded l300 work van was faster offa the mark) but once on song, 40-140mph was pretty fucken rapid.

  17. Raced an RX7 on the m25 years ago and could not believe how fast it was. I topped out my xj900f overtaking it. Had no idea the rx could shift like that.

  18. Lovely car but that's a '66, the '65 has 3 round tail lights per side and the '66 has a band of 3 rectangular lights a side which just wrap around above the bumper. When I was a kid my Dad had a '65 4dr sedan with a "breathed on" 454ci Big Block, Oh how I cried when he sold that car.

  19. Yes, my uncle had the '65 with the round tail lights - wrong car pictured. Well spotted! My Dad thought my uncle was a bit of a hooligan because of the '65 V8. His Impala was a more sedate and "civilised".

  20. My dad was a car nut, he went from 635 csi to daimler double six when he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. His last car being a red 4 litre XJS which I used to drive around for a while. Wish I could have afforded to have kept it.
