Is it as simple as removing the 55mm nut and sliding the wheel off? Or do I have to remove the exhaust or part of it? Oh and what's the torque setting for that nut? Thanks
230nm for the nut. Three small Allen screws for exhaust cover, then 1 Allen bolt underneath exhaust to slip end can off. Good luck.
Thanks, I have had the exhaust cover off already to be carbon fibre dipped so that's ok, will have to find the other one to get the end bit off. I have a compressor at home and wil get a windy gun to get it off, I will borrrow a torque wrench from a mate to do it up. Thanks
It's worth taking your 50mm rear nut with you touring. So you don't become stranded & end a motorcycling holiday early. On my enduro its a 36mm 12-point 3/4socket jobbie & 170nm due to the normal swing-arm.
The last Allen bolt is where the end can joins the cat pipe, just underneath on a jubilee type idea. If the wheel nut has been windy gunned up following a tyre change, you may struggle with a small compressor, as they have beaten quite a few folk on here.....but very best of luck.
I purchased a decent socket combo for £70 which does front and back, currently sat in the tool case under the seat. Thanks Alan
