Race Prepped Panigale R

Discussion in 'Wanted' started by Ash34, Oct 2, 2017.

  1. Enough of being the underdog. Last year I was claiming that I didn’t want to get all competitive but just race for fun.

    That didn’t last long...:innocent:

  3. Sorry do not mean to sound rude...just wondering.
If you do not know where to buy a proper race bike than maybe you are not ready for it?

Maybe you want to contact Palmer Performance for Kawasaki superstock....https://www.facebook.com/PalmerPerformance/?ref=br_rs

  5. A “proper” race bike?

I wonder what I’ve been racing in the Hungarian championship all year?

So in your mind my knowledge of where to buy a bike is representative of my riding skill level?

You do sound rude despite your apology in advance.

  6. I'd ask any tuners you know, they will know bikes that are moving on. if you want a kwik Kwak (sorry...), you might try Slick Bass on the Island (Isle of Man) - geographically unhelpful I know.

  7. Toine van den Biggelaar might be worth a shout?

  8. Then please accept my apologies. It is easy to missunderstand things in writting.
It is just a saying, if you read through the lines it kinda makes sense what I wrote.
I did not mention of your skills..well I actually did, in a positive way when you mentioned your lap times around Hungaroring. (in another thread)

  9. Belgium does seem to have a few being used. If you know Kope on Facebook maybe he can help? He seems to know people who find good stuff...

  10. as long as it's not another R1... :joy:

  11. Just skimming through this - is there any reason you dont want to just get a bike and convert it?? that way you could get something reasonably unmolested....

  12. It's cheaper and quicker to buy prebuilt
(speaking as one who ended up building a racebike)
If you get a good one, you get a known set-up that you can build from. TBH, the molestation of pure race bikes isn't that much, the engines are frequently refreshed, and if they are stuffed into a hedge, there's no stigma to it, so the sticky-out bits are generally replaced

  13. Yeah - kinda guessed that but assuming your struggling to find one then it was an option, as youve built on already then its a consideration....i must confess i was off the thinking that most "off's" would write a bike off from a structural point of view....

  14. you'd be surprised - most racing crashes are gentle slides into the grass with the bike bouncing along. Also, anything that is broken will be replaced with more race parts (levers, bars, footpegs being pretty much disposable), and there's less incentive to conceal it. (anyone who says their race bike hasn't been crashed is lying).

to the OP - assume you have joined the discussion boards for neighbouring countries/areas race clubs?

  15. You can barrel role most bikes and it is repairable with bolt on bits normally. Very unlucky to get a busted frame. It’s amazing really how robust they are
