  8. Hi,
I'm thinking of trading up from my 600ss and therefore looking around. From following this thread I realise you all know lots more than me about older Ducatis (not difficult as I know nothing!). Anyway these two caught my eye (partly because they are local to me). Any thoughts on them:

would all those stickers be removable??

    Thanks in advance.

    Cheers
    Neil:)

  9. @bettes may be able to offer some thoughts for you as he has a wonderful example from this era and seems to know it pretty much inside out :)

  10. I prefer the first one as it looks pretty much standard and you are buying from the bloke who has owned it since 2001 which says a lot to me. The wheels on the one on sale through a dealer I dislike with a passion but that is just me. Go see both and negotiate on the one you like best. Andy

  12. They both sound pricey to me (but then most things do).

  13. Watch what this sells for to get an idea on worth:

Personally I prefer the 5spoke wheels.

Watch bikes around 11-14k mls as the 12k mls is £££ so check the valves are done.

Is this a good price? I know the looks are "challenging", but that's what I like about it.

I don't know anything about the 1299 model range. Given this is the non S does it still have changeable rider modes/ power/ throttle sensitivity/ ebc/ TC ect? I can see the suspension is not electronically adjustable but what about all the other stuff, please?

  16. I'd put a none S at £12-£13k... but that has a lot of bling so price looks realistic to me.

The none S has all the same rider modes, DTC, DWC, ABS etc. It doesn't have the up/down button that you can use to change DTC, EBC or DWC on the fly. It doesn't have electronic suspension (but he's upgraded the stick set up), or an Ohlins damper (although this one has one fitted), or a carbon front mudguard.

He's also paid for the evo electronics package to give you slide control.
