      Hi Exige,
In preparation for fitting the starter cables (will pick them up from post office tomorrow) I tried undoing the nut on the starter motor but it was corroded and when turning it the stud broke and knackered the starter, anyway, got a new starter but to fit it I had to remove the crankcase cover, can you supply a new gasket for my 1996 900 ss ? I see on your site you may have one.
      Many thanks,
      Dave

Hi exige, is there any benefit going for the coil pack as well as the starter cables ?

I don't have experience in doing both - I know @Old rider has done both using California Cycleworks Coils and the American leads so you could seek his opinion. There is a review of the coils on my website from a recent customer.

Old rider Sadly, Exiges cables weren't available when I had a coil pack on my SS but I would certainly have gone for both.
The coils give a fatter and more reliable spark, so better throttle response, better idling and better low speed running.
On my SS anyway, they really helped.
