I've messaged you on mobile number in your advert. Not sure if you have received it or if bike is now sold?

Will keep ya posted about my progress if interested, mind you, this is not my daily ride, so progress in building it is not time critical. Fortunately.

Ofcourse a sleeve has to be made to increase the Outer Diameter on the wheel side (which is easy, he said).
Again, above is only valid if the overall length of the larger axle is equal to tthat of the smaller one.If you have time, please advise regarding above, would appreciate it.

      - Is the 1098 axle, length wise, the same as the 848? If yes, the 6ā€ rim has the same base length as the 5.5ā€ rim?
      - The only possible solution I have left is taking a small axle, remove the small wheel hub plate (wheel pins + aft brake carrier) and welt on a wheel hub plate of a large axle. Just by talking to a metal handy guy, who claimed this is possible.

I did not throw in the towel yet, so I would like to have your opinion on the following, as you taught this matter threw more than once.
      - Skimming down the eccentric of a 1098 was a no can do as you stated. Bummer.
      - What do you know about the 1098 axle itself? Is it possible to trim this one down to fit a smaller axle eccentric, or again, there is not enough meat?

      Dear mickb,
first of all Iā€™m not a native English speaker (writer), so treat it as such.
With much interest I've been reading your trials regarding fitting a 1098 wheel on a small axle (e.g. 848).
I am more or less in the same boat; building kinda one off Radical Ducati, based on a Monster S4R, and would like to fit a larger rim (6"). For the looks and availability (forged).
