TBH, it's truly a personal thing. In the front holes I couldn't get crouched or over the bike, moving them the 2" or so to the back hole made all the difference. I'm 6'.0 tall if that helps. If you are shorter maybe the front hole for you. It's about comfort not ground clearance as there's plenty of that :).

can i ask why did you take them off?

I changed to Ducabike ones. Purely because I wanted race shift with standard QS. No other reason. It does not look like there is a lot of adjustment in the pegs but what there is makes a huge difference. I couldn't get on with the bike to start with at Almeria, I moved the pegs from front to rear and wow, what a change.

      Brill thanks a lot pal
I take it you had these on your bike - easy to fit??

        Yep had them on.
Easy enough but can be fiddly. Getting into the bolts that mount to the frame can be tricky. I used the "long" end of an allan key. Maybe better to disconnect the QS at the gear box end and maybe easier to unbolt the gear lever from the rearsets to allow connecting of the QS. It's simple enough....just fiddly.
