NEMESIS-2 Type 1 replacement ECU for Ducati 749, 749S, 749R, 999, 999S, 999R, 848, 1098, 1098S and 1098R (without traction control). The Nemesis 'plug in' replacement ECU for Ducati, offers unrivalled levels of user customisation to the engine output. No more messy wiring alterations with 'piggy back' systems or putting up with emission controls that interfere with engine performance. The Nemesis ECU offers 'plug & ride' using the default maps best suited to your bike's exhaust system and can be programmed with 2 maps at any one time e.g. Map 1 - Road (default), Map 2 - Track, which can be selected using the standard ignition switch while the engine is running. What is included in this kit: ECU Short PC adaptor cable PC USB lead CD with all software and maps The features below are most often used for custom setups, race bikes, etc... if you just need your bike to run well with the full system you just bought then this is simple plug-n-play. Nemesis is able to adjust the following parameters: Injector ‘dead time’ table (time to open the injector at differing battery voltages) This allows you to change injectors. Coil dwell table for users who wish to change coils. On/off selection for the ‘tilt switch’ input. Full access to the throttle calibration and breakpoint selection. RPM breakpoint selection. Full access to the wide band lambda calibration and breakpoint selection (16 points). Pre-injection time – mSec of injector open duration at power on to prime the cylinders. Fuel pump timer strategy. Tilt switch strategy. Over run fuel / spark strategy. Temperature activation threshold for left and right cooling fan. Professional ‘flat shift’ strategy. Tyre circumference & trigger teeth calibration. Rev limiters for spark and fuel (no limitations). Advanced transient strategy for fuel and spark advance with full user control. Advance correction tables for air temp / water temp / horizontal and vertical cylinder / air pressure. Injection correction for tables for air temp / water temp / air pressure. Injection phase angle table plotted against RPM. Horizontal cylinder injection table in mSec with 32 x RPM and 20 x Throttle breakpoints. Vertical cylinder injection table in mSec with 32 x RPM and 20 x Throttle breakpoints. Spark advance table in degrees with 32 x RPM and 20 x Throttle breakpoints. Injection correction table as a function of speed with 32 x speed and 20 x Throttle breakpoints. Advance correction table as a function of speed with 32 x speed and 20 x Throttle breakpoints. Cranking correction (cold start map) with 32 x engine rotation and 20 x temperature breakpoints. Your map may be loaded into map 1 or map 2 positions when you upload to the ECU, so the entire map may be different not just a trim. Target RPM value for cold start and normal running. This is a great piece of kit for anyone who knows what they are doing, has the time to learn/experiment with the software or has access to a dyno specialist who can set up their bike properly to fully exploit its potential! I'm looking for £350 ono. including postage. Reason for the Sale The previous owner of my 999s used it mainly as a track bike. I use it exclusively as a road bike and the customised track maps currently installed on the ECU are not very conducive to road riding, apart from at the top end where she absolutely flies! My local tried and trusted mechanics are Italsport, but unfortunately they do not have the necessary experience with the Nemesis software to refine the maps for road use, primarily smoothing out the engine output at lower revs and reduce the over-fuelling. Coupled with that, there seems to be an underlying electrical fault on the bike - a second negative lead is connected to the battery which we cannot fathom without further investigation/expense? Ultimately, this will likely mean replacing the main wiring loom which has been previously cut into and modified by someone else. Initially, Italsport have recommended re-installing an OEM ECU remapped for the full 63mm Termi system on the bike so they can fully communicate with the ECU using the Ducati diagnostic tools and establish amongst other things if the TPS needs to be replaced? Hence, I intend to use the funds from this sale to buy and remap a used OEM ECU. Hopefully, this will deal with the fuelling issue so I can get the bike back on the road and we can then move onto solving the potential wiring loom mystery next year once I have more funds available. Thanks for looking and please feel free to ask any questions. P.S. I've included a few pictures of my bike for any curious readers!
I wonder if you have the wrong ECU for your bike? The following link shows the Nemesis 2 Type 2 ECU being compatible with the these bikes: Nemesis 2 Type 2 replacement ECU for Hypermotard 1100 (pre '10), Monster 696, S2R1000, S4R, S4RS ('06+), SportClassic GT1000, Sport 1000 ('08). AFAIK the Nemesis 2 Type 1 is for the models listed in this thread's title: Nemesis 2 Type 1 replacement ECU for Ducati 749, 749S, 749R, 999, 999S, 999R, 848, 1098, 1098S and 1098R (without traction control). Hi Air Duck, Thanks for pointing out the mistake in the listing which is much appreciated! I have corrected the title and modified the content of the post to include more about its capabilities. I have also attached an extract from the NEMESIS manual explaining how to install the Type 1 to the relevant bikes listed above. It doesn't help that the websites selling them show the same image for Type 1, 2 & 3 but from what I can gather, the Type 1 has an 8mm wider asymmetrical body compared with the Type 2 & 3 (images shown on the spartsmoto website), which are symmetrical either side of the ports. The bike has had a lot of work and expense thrown at it judging by the previous owner's JHP receipts so I expect they will have installed the correct Type 1 ECU.
