  7. Well you could go on holiday flying out of Manchester and that would make my place fairly convenient!

I would take Cream_Revenge up on his offer, but if that was not easy to get to and from, then the storage place doesn't seem bad for 65 quid. It all depends on how likely you bike is to be stolen from the car park? Two weeks seems a long time for it standing there attracting attention from the scrote moped riding cvnts who live in Londontown...

  8. It's an underground secure car park, with fobs and blablabla, so theoretically only residents have access, and the bike is out of sight (I keep it covered and double chained as well), but it would be rather annoying to come back and find the battery totally flat, or to get a text from the tracker halfway through my holiday saying that the battery is going flat, hence the tracker will be disabled (or stuff like that)...

  10. Take it to your local friendly garage for an mot pick it up in two weeks. Easy.

  11. The bike is a 2016 - nice thought though :D

  12. Well since a new Motobatt is cheaper than the storage and I get the impression the underground car park is safe, perhaps I would leave it there...

  13. If it’s that secure, just disconnect the battery.

  14. Why would you not let the bike warm up on tickover? I thought that was best practice for any engine, as opposed to revving from cold. I don't mean to switch off again I mean when going for a ride, so everything gets up to temp.

Great to see the offers of storage. I don't know where you are Stef but I'm in Braintree, Essex and could squeeze one extra bike in the garage for a couple of weeks if that is any good to you. :)

  15. Buy a good quality lithium ion battery!

  16. That will lose charge with a drain of alarm and tracker, every bit as fast as lead acid.
It’s only with no drain they hold charge better.

  17. Ask your Dealer if they can store it?

  18. @Stef

You are welcome to leave it at mine (St Albans way). Can bring your Optimate with you too if you like.

  19. Seems like you can fly out of Manchester, Luton or Stanstead and have your bike in safe keeping for nothing with free power. What a great forum :D
