1200 DVT Crashbar Owners - Bike Fell, Gap Correct???

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Riko, Nov 7, 2017.

  1. Long story short, I dropped my beloved Multi

Maneuvering+ Front brake + wet leaves in a ditch = accident bound to happen

Anyway, I'm in paranoia mode, after inspection I was wondering if the gap between the crashbars and body panels are really that different on both sides?

Just to verify...easy my mind, etc

    Thx

  2. One of them is badly bent surely? I don't have them but should they not be even both sides?

  3. Looks like the top right (facing front forks) mount has bent inwards & slightly upset the balance of the crash-bars. They don't look like official ones to me but I'm always prepared to be wrong. Take off & bent back into shape is my advice. At least they did there job'

  4. when looking at this picture, viewers perspective, the right side has a smaller gap than left

Same on this old picture of mine

At first view the bashplate, the connection at the radiator looks all good...
    Panels seems good too.
Seems to be only scratched on the bars and left mirror.
And a broken handguard, again, despite my ducabike protector.

Woild have to see a Multi with bars in the flesh.

  5. Why are they made uneven? That makes no sense unless they're just poorly made?

  6. The DP bars on my 2013 (pre-DVT) Multi have different gaps either side too!

  10. My Enduro has odd sized gaps, bigger on the right and very close on the left. Meant to have a go at adjusting but couldn't be arsed in the end.

  11. It’s a case of bent support brackets at the radiator area. Remove and straighter or simply add some washers
