1098 Or 1198 Wanted Preferably S Model

  1. Hi Guys looking to get a Ducati back in my garage. I’m looking for a mint low mileage 1098s or 1198s. I would also consider a standard one if it was the right bike.

    Where abouts in the world are you?
    I've got a very tidy 2009 1198 with load of carbon extras
    Just sold my house and within the next couple of weeks it needs to go.

  5. Thanks for your replies. I’m really after an s model of either. There’s one locally that is supposed to be in excellent condition (although I have head that before.......) that I’m going to look at this week. I’ll let you know how I get on.

    I've got a mint 1098s in the garage with approximately 3500 mils on the clock.

    I bought it 2 - 2.5 years ago, purely, to join my friends on a Ducati only track day at Donnington. Since then, it hasn't been used at all, though I regularly bring it up to temp to keep the fluids moving.

    Before I got hold of it, it was owned by a guy who kept it in his house as an ornament. He had it serviced and MOT'd before I got hold of it, but now it is on a SORN.

    The bike has a Ducati Performance slipper clutch, Termis and comes with the original Ducati Cover, DDA and rear track stand. It is totally original, except for expensive rearsets that the previous owner fitted. I have the originals if required.

    I have no real plans to do another track day or put it back on the road, hence my reason to sell if a buyer comes along, though I'm in no hurry.
