I'm Back With A Hyper 1100!

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by Force-v4, Nov 19, 2017.

  1. Its nice to be back on a Duke again, just picked this up during the week, a 2012 Hypermotard 1100 Evo SP. Only 20k kms and full history, all keys, new Pirellis and lots of nice goodies. Havent had a road bike proper since my Pani last year, been concentrating on the MX. Bought a new 350 six days as well for the season. Only issue I'm finding is the battery in this seems pretty crap due to lack of use, starts eventually, runs for a bit but doesnt seem to be want to start again too easily. Have it on charge at the mo so I'll check it again tomorrow. Lots of nice bits on it but could really do with a nice pipe if anyone has one for sale. Would I need the ECU to match I wonder?

  9. Ha ha cheers lads. no stick my head in regularly in all fairness! I always give the tires a good coat of ACF-50. Keeps them shiny and stops them wearing out.

  10. Wow, must make for an entertaining ride!

  11. Sideways is never an issue anyway.....

  12. How do you find the 350 4t compared to 250-300 2t?
Just sold my 2017 exc 250 six days ..and cannot decide between a 350excf or 250-300exc tpi.
Green lane in Kent and mild enduro in Transylvania.

That hypermotard must be good fun on our potholed roads..compared to a stiff sport bike.
If you cnage only the end cans no need for remap or other ecu, for a full system I would certainly adjust fuelling.

  13. Hello there :grinning: All keys included? Lucky devil you are!

  14. Yep all keys and full history with belts done in January. Good bike this. The 350 is a peach, had a 2017 SXF 350 and done well in the grass tracks with it last year, doing a lot more enduro stuff and trails lately more than MX tracks so reckoned the six days was a better choice. The 350 is a perfect blend of weight and power IMO. Havent tried the TPi yet, they were sold out since February in the Six Days!

  15. Nice bike. Had the 1100S for 5 years, did a few miles on it. I spent ages looking for side slung exhaust...SC Projects was my choice. There was no need for any further remap .Ran lovely, with a little after burn on deceleration which sounded ace. Came with baffle but never had it in. As for battery , they alway seem to struggle , big L twin, never a really fast spin of the engine. Maybe you’ve checked already, but earth lead to battery and earth lead to starter should be cleansed and greased then tightened . Enjoy, wouldn’t mind another one myself
