Fz750 Nipón Coffee ☕️

Discussion in 'Other Bikes' started by El Vikingo Tropical, Nov 19, 2017.

  1. Normally I never make 4 cylinders bikes as I’m tiered of them, but as I always wanted to have a FZ750 and never had one when they was new now is the moment!
I had this bike as a gift from a friend and I have to say that it has had “seen better days”.

  3. Next step was to improve the suspension, wheels and breaks with some more modern items.
For this I choose parts from a Kawa zxr6 as they looks good and works well.

  5. The problem is the fuel tank who doesn’t line up correct with the chasis without the faring.
I will start to cut the fuel tank this afternoon and make it less wide and more slick

  9. Well finally I won’t do nothing today at the bike I went to play tennis and had some beer, now it’s siesta time...
I have to cut that tank but it won’t be today I’m afraid.....

  10. Nice project, you don't seem to hang around with projects

  11. As the my friends think I’m a bit disturbed and crazy I can’t disappoint them!
What do you think about a FZ750 V2???
I was in my basement today preparing a Ducati 750 engine for a overhaul, it’s a Engine that’s been laying around for some future project for some time now.
And suddenly I had an idea !
Every thing was just clear and why not?

  12. And why not indeed!

  13. Keep em coming:)

  14. Well this one won’t go quick!
I just had the idea this afternoon but I feel plethoric with this.
The chasis room big enough for the engine so this won’t be a problem!
But I doesn’t have exhaust system nor carburettors....
    Mmmm maybe wire wheels.....

  15. Great stuff - I'm learning constantly.

    I've just learned a new word "plethoric" , and I feel red-facedly turgid :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah:

  16. I have been playing around a bit this afternoon and to be honest I dosent like it to much....
The engine is a easy fit but it just doesn’t look good!
    I can’t se the harmony!
I’m afraid that this bike will be an boring 4-cil.

  17. What would your thought be on stripping the tank and either sanding it for a matt finish or polishing it ala chrome? The engine is too small so sits high leaving large gaps underneath making it look like a lawnmower engine in a bike, have you thought of making new mounts, mounting the engine centre of gravity as low as possible or will the chain not align that way?

  18. I want to use the FZ tank but I need too stretch it a bit!
I have been thinking about sanding down part to bare metal and use satin clear coat making a bit rat look.
The engine is not una correct place at all I just throw it in to see how it looks,
It’s not difficult to adapt at all, I have been adapting modern Porsche engine in classic Porsche for racing more than twenty years and in comparación this is “pice of pay”:)

I just doesn’t how the engine look aesthetically at the FZ!
The upper steel beam hide the rear cylinder and the lower beam is to wide and cross the front cylinder,
I think that I have to search for another chassis for this engine and use a four banger for the FZ

  19. I would just click the "like" button, but there isn't a "deeply impressed" button...

JOOI - how much calculation do you do? Is it just a case of assuming eg the newer forks will be more capable than the old ones, or do you look at the forces in more detail?
