Hi everyone.... I've just purchased a new 2017 Multistrada Pikes Peak Multistrada. I've also got a tomtom Rider 450 which I want to wire in via a hard wired connection. As I understand from research done on-line, there is a ready made GPS feed sealed in heat shrink to a connector under the left hand front fairing. My question is; is there any 'how to' pictures or video links to the 'pikes peak' 2017 model front fairing removal process as its not easy to see any bolts or screws that would facilitate this job? Any help to a newbee Duke owner would be much appreciated!
Right this is how it's going to work, as a newbie you will need to post a photo of your new bike along with a bin in the shot. Secondly you need to introduce yourself properly in the newbie section. Now it's a good job I spotted you as the rest on here are a bit bonkers about this sort of thing and as a result wouldn't be as welcoming as me. I haven't a clue regarding your post but no doubt someone on here will be along soon with the answer. And welcome to the forum.
this is a useful Video - applies to 2015 - 2017 DVT Mutleys Only problem is that you have to watch it backwards as this is the assembly of the bodywork!
You should be able to just take off the left fairing panel and find the connector This video should help as they are all basically the same:
