1260 1260 In The Metal…

  1. They asked, I agreed. <shrugs>

  2. I was keen to see it, but I’m going to wait until I’ve had a good test ride before deciding whether to jump in. The only real issue I have with my ‘10 at the moment is the poor finish on the engine cases and swing arm. I’ve already sourced a perfect swing arm from eBay so may well take the opportunity to strip it down over Christmas, get the outer cases out for repainting and swap the swing arm over. At which point I’ve either got a slightly better pitch for trade-in OR I’ll remember just how good the throttle response and Ohlins are and just keep it for another year…

…I also have the slight problem of not physically having room in the garage for a fourth Ducati and I would really like to keep the ‘10…

  3. Well Technomad, I thought I was lucky to have a DVT 1200, but to have 4 x ducati’s .......your the lucky one!

they’re all bikes of passion new or old

  4. Hi Technomad, I know what you mean. As I've said before, my 2012 is a keeper. I really dont need a new bike, the current one does just fine, but if I had to I could make room for another.
The wife and I had a conversation tonight. She is fine with me buying another bike but is equally happy with the current one, so no help there.

Until I ride it I really dont know whether I will jump or not. What I need is a blinding deal that is too good to refuse

  5. Hi John - I’m very keen to ride the 1260 asap, so that I can come to a decision while there are still good runout deals on the DVTs. As it’s still snowing heavily and the car park of Ducati Glasgow is sheet ice, this may take some time...

  6. Shame they're not doing a red frame for 2018 on the 1260.
I guess its to have a visible diffeence between 1190 & 1260 for the sealers.
    Happy New Year folks!

  7. Can't wait to have a test ride, but not at least until the spring.
