Thanks for that - very interesting reading. I suspected the same thing. I had an 848 a few bikes back and loved it (which I totally regret selling). The 1198 is incredible value for what it is. I'll try to take one out at some point.
It's looks bang on. In great condition with the full shopping list of extras fitted. If I was looking for one I'd be round there. Great time to do a deal just before Christmas the markets quiet and sellers are after the money. I sound like I'm trying to sell it! Lol!
Yes, I love the older bikes, I suppose its what makes all different. Im not one for electronic rider aids, I like the trellis chassis etc... Dont get me wrong, I like the Panigale too!
As an example, if someone was going to give me a new 1098R or a 1299R, I would take the 1098R, regardless of value.
2016 Panigale R with 5000 miles is currently being advertised for £19,999. That's £12000 cheaper than the 1098R recently sold by Elite in Sheffield. Andy
Nice looking bike, and the right money, it has been up for sale a couple of times in the last month, no idea why it hasn't sold yet, may be the time of year, although that wouldn't stop me if I was looking.
I love 1198's something about them especially in white, plus they are a tad lower than 848's for some strange reason, couldn't imagine wanting/needing anything else, I bet in 5 years people will be willing to kill for one, seriously we all see how people go where the grass might be greener got to get the next best thing but in the end just wish they had what they had....I'd have a white 1198 probably cooksters actually now that is a beauty
