  1. I have seen a few of these on fleabay...all with screws... the ones on my 888 swingarm are welded on...whats the score here?

I am slightly perturbed by the idea of making holes in my swingarms... what does one do? screw them in and then weld them on?

    cheers

  2. You can also use 'rivnuts', whereby you drill a hole then insert the threaded rivnut and rivet it in place thus creating a thread.
Kits can be got quite cheap on the bay of e - I got my draper kit off there.

  3. Yep I need to buy a Rivnut tool I have been after one for a while...still a bit unsure about drilling holes in my swingarms though!

  4. Yes, they are a cracking bit of kit though!

    Measure once, cut twice.... d'oh!

  7. Cheers Steve, I was thinking of drilling tapping and then welding as well. However on my Superlight I dont want to go through the nause of repainting the swing! on the Czech chick's bike and my next project...wont be a problem just tidy the weld up a bit afterwards!
