Longshot, but does anyone have or know where I can get hold of a good, working crankshaft for a 2000 748 E? Apparently the part numbers for the crank assembly is the same for the MY00, MY01 and MY02 E and S models are the same. Fingers crossed! Thanks in advance.
What sort of riding do you want to do ? I have a brand new 748 crank shaft that sat on a wet pallet for too long. One journal has a mark that didn’t polish out that I was advised would cause cavitation at continuous high revs so no good for racing but fine for normal road use. Thought about getting a regrind but Ducati no longer do oversize shells. Andy
Hi Andy, thanks for replying. I would be mainly road riding but would love to do a couple of trackdays too. I also take it over to Spain so I would be after one that would give me peace of mind tbh. At the moment the crank is still in the engine with the slightest of play in one conrod. When I have time I will continue to strip it down. Thanks for the offer though.
