I’ve removed the injectors to have them cleaned. Problem 1: one of the fuel lines is kinked, so could do with being replaced. I’ve looked on the parts fiche and it doesn’t appear that parts are available separately, you have to buy the whole lot including injectors etc etc Problem 2: one of the torx bolts that holds the injector into it’s mount has taken the brass insert with it. I did heat it up to soften the threadlock but there you go. I could do with buying just the plastic injector holder that holds the injector above the throttle body, but again it’s not listed separately. Any ideas?
Buy this and make a good one from the good bits, to get the pipes off they need to be very warm https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-O...395261?hash=item1ca280343d:g:tewAAOxyrM5TIPDn You can get petrol resistant reinforced fuel pipe tubing quite cheap if you look around
Shit the bed, wish I’d never started. If I can get the torx bolt out of the brass insert I’m laughing, I reckon the insert will araldite back into the injector holder easily. Good call on the heat gun to remove the kink.
and the injector holders are the same as a 999 too....hell i might even be a blessing to find you a pair...
Good man. I have a spanner monkey working on the brass bolt and insert tomorrow. I will be in touch if it all goes turd shaped. Don’t suppose you have a pic of the injector holder to be sure it’s the same?
We have success. Brass insert and bolt have parted company without being mullered. Injectors off for cleaning, fuel pipe de-kinked. 999 injector mount has a different top, maybe would have fitted anyway? Thanks for the offer andyb.
