Well i have seen plenty about these but cannot find the threads so here goes. Got some genuine LED spots ,brackets & wiring loom for my 1200s DVT. Going to fit them soon. Thought i,d read on here somewhere that once fitted & plugged in i have to get the dealer to sw them on in software. If i switch on the spots using the switch on the left cluster, the spotlight icon lights up on the dash but are they active. Anyone know the info would be appreciated.
I think they are. The light on my 950 dash didn't come on until the dealer had activated. the light on my endure dash doesn't come on at all inspite of me fitting the spots from the 950, so off to the dealer again to activate!
The Aux LED lights definitely need to be enabled by a dealer. I moved a set of LED lights onto a new bike and attempted to switch the lights on before they were enabled. The mechanic could tell because it put and error message in the diagnostic system. I'm not sure why the warning light on the dash would come on when the lights are connected but not enabled.
Ear in mind that if for whatever reason they are removed an ignition is switched on then off to the dealer again to enable them.
@Steviegtr I fitted my own and the dash light came on but no lights out the fogs themselves, popped into the dealer and they enabled them on for me via their computer thingy.
Thanks for all replies. Due in soon for front brake recall so i,ll get them to enable the spots. Many thanks to all. Cheers.
Well went to fit the spots yesterday & the genuine ducati brackets would not fit on bike due to me fitting none genuine Givi crash bars. So luckily i had some stainless plate. I fabricated my own & fitted them to the ends of the crash bars. The wiring which after reading a thread somewhere on here was going to be a breeze. (NOT). the whole bike had to be stripped down to get to the connector which was secreted under the left corner of the fuel tank. So off with all plastics or most of them & the fuel tank also. The cable to the right hand spot was too short no matter which way i routed it. So cut & soldering iron out to extend. Anyway all fitted & look ok. So ready for dealer to switch on for me. I have a as new pair of ducati spot brackets which attach to bike above radiator. Cost £69. Anybody interested i will put them on e-bay.
