I'm ashamed to admit it's not for a Ducati but their older, slower, heavier brother a Guzzi. Getting a tail single tail piece and being supplied a fiberglass base for the saddle, so I need to an upholster/saddler to make me up a saddle. It's not here yet so I can't post a pic of the saddle base, but pretty sure it will be just that a sheet of fibreglass Picture of the tail piece I'm hoping to copy, the tail piece should be fine it's just the saddle. Thinking of Alcantara or leather (the bike will not be seeing any rain if I can help it)

again oldest jock, get yourself down to docks and look for a sail maker. owan sails in benderloch do the odd bit of motoring upholstery. they quoted me once for a job on my aprillia a few years back.

It appears that the problem might resolve itself, Magni in Italy is now going to get me the saddle upholstered (I think) But this is still super useful for me as I have another seat that I want to get redone Once more many many thanks to everybody, up until now I've just been floundering around now I have some real solid information to follow up on John
