1200 Rear Sets

I'd be interested in something different, when I got my gear lever comfortable, the shift felt terrible and I actually got it to touch the ground on a roundabout in France that bent it & made it flip round 180.........I now have it set around factory position and hate it!

 

I have the Gilles riser pegs installed and love them. I did also buy the riser plates that raise the peg either 30 or 40 mm. I found them a little too high and couldn't get the gear lever high enough without it fouling the shaft.
i did buy a cheap gear change lever from avanti race parts and with some adaption got it all to clear.....but after some 'spirited' riding I found that the lever was made of some kind of cheese and bent :-(.

I also had the low seat lowered a bit more (i'm a short arse) and then found the arse to foot distance was a bit too much like my 999. With the 20mm plates the position is perfect and they are super grippy, but also let your foot 'rotate' on the peg, which with a platform type peg you can't do.

I replaced the pillion pegs too. The good lady can hang on (or off) a lot more confidently now.

Yeah fitted some to my 2015 dvt and found them great,I suffer from M/S and my left foot drops substantially but I've compensated for that with the Gillies

I bought a pair of these for my original Multi expensive purchase at the time but it allowed you to get a really comfortable position. I haven't used them on the DVT though so I might look at selling them, (£120).

Seen the talk about rear sets and I was just wondering is someone try the set up from Ducabike shift lever? .. just manage to bend mine on Multistrada 1200S 2015
