749 Feel Like Crying !

Discussion in '749 / 999' started by Garry Lister, Apr 19, 2018.

  1. My 749 toppled off the paddock stand tonight wiping out both brake levers and right mirror , scrapes down the fairing a carbon clutch cover! Anyone have any bits I could purchase please ? And any ideas to cover the scratches or repair the fairing would be greatly appreciated........
    Thanks in advance
    Gaz

  2. What colour fairing? Original or facelift?

  11. Most of us have been there matey, one of the worst biking feelings there is. It'll mend tho

  12. Could of been worst... dropping it outside the Ducati garage like me...luckily for me it was closed...

Dropped it Crashed it, replace parts, resprays etc etc, some parts still bent but they still work...

  13. yip, i'v done this when i didnt place the 848 on the stand properly and felt the pain. just managed to catch it with my knee inches from the tank smacking the deck, couldn't walk for a week, but hay.

  14. I went to lean my 999 on the stand but the stand wasn't deployed.
It was sheer force of will that enabled me to heave it back up from beyond the point of no return.
Ford radiant red is a very close match for touching in scrapes and scratches and there are companies that specialise in doing it for you at your home - 'Chips Away'???

  17. Threw myself under the multi when it started to go over in the garage. Ended up laying under it and was very sore. Would do it again every time though

  19. Yes, just checked but I've only ever used a touch-up stick, haven't tried a spray can.
