  1. hi.

i have recently bought an 1100s hypermotard. the prev owner has replaced the indicators with led bar end things and although they flash at the correct rate the dash light doesnt come on. i tried some 50w 8ohm resisters and they just made it blink for a split second. i have also wired a few spare led indicators together and i have 5 indicators flashing at the correct rate but no dash. it makes no difference which setting in the secret dash menu, LED or lamp. any help would be great. this silly flashing light is driving me nuts!!! :)

  2. The problem could be with the dash itself. I have a 1200MTS, well known for dash lighting problems, and the LH flash tell-tale sometimes flashes and sometimes doesn't. Same for the neutral light, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.

  3. i have bought a selection of resistors in the 10-20w 10-50 ohm range and am going to give that a whirl. if not then off to a guy it goes.

  4. A 12W indicator bulb will draw 1A so would need a 12Ω resistor for each bulb to emulate them.

  5. brilliant. thats a good place to start. are the originals led front and bulb rear?

  6. Yes.

  7. Did you ever get this fixed?
