goodmorning! I have a quickshifter easy and have changed the way of gear up gear down last week. The reason i have done this is because i had the problem it often goes (when iam changing gear up) it often goes in false neutral. So i thouht it wil resolve this when i change the way of shifting up and down. But now i have the problem that when i shift up to the second gear (push down) then suddely it Goes in neutral. Can i resolve this with settings in the quickshifter easy? Thanks
You seem to have more mishaps than most. Have you never heard the phrase “if it’s not broken don’t fix it” #justsaying
Take the quick shifter off then ride it see if it still happens, quick shifters cause a lot of gear box problems on the 848/1098/1198 type bikes , I wanted one on my 1198 but was advised not to by many forum members so I didn't bother.
The QS on the 1198 is terrible. Dont use it. Ever. I never did on mine. I found it to be unsatisfactory. Was vague, would find neutral better than I ever could. I would recommend you never ever use it.
Hi! I think it worked fine when you do the setup correctly but i had always Some problems that during shifting it shoots in neutral. So i changed the way of shifting and it Goes better i thought but now when i shift and is in the second gear it shoots to neutral so i thouht maybe change Some settings or renove the qs. Does the oem shifter from Ducati work better? Can i connect this on my bike?
I have used an HM QS on my 1098R for years (had one rebuild) and it’s never missed a beat. But it’s important you shift positively with it. A half hearted shift will result in a miss shift or missed gear. The QS on my V4S feels a different thing altogether. Much crisper and less agricultural. But that’s probably down to the game moving on 10 years.
Yesterday i have cleaned the clutch including the clutchplates and change Some settings and did a test drive and it work great at this moment, Thanks for the advice again
