Tail Tidy

Discussion in 'Diavel & XDiavel' started by Loatmead, May 21, 2018.

  1. Evening all, just need a bit of advice on above in particular the evo tec one. In all the pictures I’ve seen it shows the pillion handles out is this the case or can they be pushed back in once the tail tidy is fitted. Anyone used any other makes.
    Thanks

  2. Cant remember which one i have but as I recall you can have it in any position but it just doesnt extend or move in or out.

  3. The offer 2 versions, fixed and mobile. The fixed version does not pull out, and is permanently "in". The mobile version will move in and out as per the stock grab handle.

  4. Ok thanks for that. Just can’t decide which way to go with this one, stock, under seat, or on the side. I’ve only had the bike a few days so may be a bit more time is needed, but that isn’t normally something that I have a problem with ( aftermarket mods ect).

  5. I've the one that slides in/out same as standard.
Seems to work well enough with no complaints from the missus.

  6. Fitted one last week, bought the slidey one (dynamic) fixed is the static. Quality of the engineering is great, next day delivery (searched around nobody seems to do a discount) so bought from Evotech direct. Fitting is not a 5 minute job! Removing the old number plate mount is probably the most awkward bit due to the Allen bolts being quite deeply recessed and access limited due to the wheel rim, they are bloody tight and covered with threadlock as well, looks the dogs fitted. Oh and you will probably need a 7x5 plate as the original covers the rear lights

  7. If you ride in the rain just once , you’ll appreciate the stock position of the number plate on the crud catcher
