1200 Enduro Tyre Whine...or Something Else?

  1. Having partially cured the wind buffeting \ noise with a concoction of solutions (more of which elsewhere) I can now hear at least some of whats going on around me! That's good news. What's not is a kind of high pitched whine I can hear at between 30 and 50 mph and appears to be from the rear of the bike. It seems consistent with tyre noise I've heard before (particularly with PR4s I had on a GS1200) but it doesn't vary with road surface as I would expect, and is much more pronounced.
Anyone experienced similar? I should add that I'm on the standard Scorpion Trail IIs with about 3,000 miles on them, and that I'm riding without Mrs House on board which can result in whining that I'm all too familiar with!!
    Anyone else getting similar?

  2. No whine for me I'm afraid.

  3. If it was bad, like wheel bearings, it would get worse as speed increases.
