Saw your thread initially about fitting these, how come you decided not to fit these in the end? Fitting new mirrors has always been on my to do list so am interested
Hey Dan, I purchased some cheap £10 mirrors from amazon and fitted them while I waited for these to arrive from the US. The cheap ones worked fine although low quality and they didn't have the indicators. I just never got around to fitting these ones.
Yeah I did see that and thought you’d probably done that. I bought cheap ones and didn’t like the quality f ones I bought and brackets were wrong etc etc so never bothered since. Even now I’m in two minds if I’m honest
The best place to fix them to is the wholes in the break and clutch leavers. I also started with brackets but didn't like it. You have to wire in the indicators though which would be some work. I was also going to remove the flap mirrors but decided in the end to leave them on as I got used to filtering with the extra width. If I still had the bike I would get around to it eventually but the opportunity came up to buy a MV Agusta Brutale from a mate that I couldn't refuse. So I sold the 796 before I fitted them.
