Ok, I know there’s quite a lot of threads discussing the rapid bike Evo but I can’t seem to find a direct answer for my query. I’m of to France in a couple of weeks on my 1299 Pani, I was itching to get the bike custom mapped and have spoken to a couple of local tuners. I’ve been advised that to go down the custom map route it would be could practice to get an exhaust system fitted before hand to reep the Maximum benefits. Unfortunately I’m not in a position to throw 3k+ at it at this moment in time! So my question are.... Is anybody running the Rapid Bike Evo with the stock exhaust system? I have the sprint air filter ready to fit and was thinking of purchasing the RB Evo. I’m not chasing dyno numbers just wanted to smoothen the bike out, mainly at low speeds. Is it a pointless exercise or would I better saving my money for now?
Andy, save your money and spend it wisely at CJS nr Bristol. http://www.cjsracing.co.uk/ His workplace is in same place as Louigi Moto. Another top top Ducati place. http://louigimoto.com/
I agree, would probably look to get a custom map on the standard ECU that optimises the standard exhaust set up, that will likely mean that you won't get quite the same horsepower jump but will probably be able to stop all the 'lean running' on partial throttle etc to give a smoother ride.
The rapidbike works really well, adapts to any future changes you make and can be sold in after use or used in another bike
Thats an interesting bit I never considered. Hmmm..... Be handy if someone posts an Install pic gallery and a write up. I'd like to know more. Their website is a bit, short on info.
This is where mine is fitted Basically upper and lower fairing off, locate the loom from right side to left Run the loom behind the upper radiator and tie wrap it to the rad backet so it’s not touching anything. Use a cardboard tube behind upper radiator to prevent too much damage to fins when pulling harness or plugs will bend the fins it’s very tight. Loosen the ecu to gain access to the sensor plug required and plug in the O2 1and 2 sensors, remove ABS pump plastic trim and carefully plug in TPS lock ring plug and it’s a fart on to make it fit as it’s tight but you can refit the ABS trim. Them on left side decide where you want to fit module. If fitting like me there’s a small plastic tab to cut off then fix using plastic rivnuts and double sided tape Plug in crank position sensor and earth wire to batter and it’s done. Tie the harness out of the (under the battery tray) Download the dunsport software, plug the laptop in and let it update then off you go. I left all the factory settings and don’t see a reason to play with them it runs great It’s not that bad to fit probably a few hours mainly as I was playing with different locations for module.
Has anyone fitted Up / Down assist with auto blip module, to Rapid Bike Evo. Any reviews. I have been looking at Bike Sport Developments down shift, but you can buy Rapid bike evo and up / down shift for a lower cost. Where did you guys, buy Evo.
I’ve just ordered mine from here https://calsport.co.uk/all-parts/krbevo-070b Order already dispatch and will be here tomorrow
Just looked into these. If you get one for a scrambler it’s £120 less than a Panigale for what looks like the same unit? Is the software really that much more?
