Well our local bike cafe and my sons place of employment has gone into liquidation Nice to be told via FaceBook your out of a job! Sorry for the school girl error in spelling
He'd just put a deposit on a bike to - we were going to collect on Saturday I'm sure he'll find another job soon
Always busy whenever I went there, if not pretty expensive for things like coffee (why we stopped goin tbh) but surprised, shit news, hope he sorts himslef something else
its a good life lesson he just wants what he's owed (doubtfull) Looks like thier opening up down the road under a different name (typical) Usual shite Place has had its locks changed - hoping he can get his knifes back!
Yes managed to get in before the dead line just! Still riding around on your Derbi ! - hoping to still get the 'bigger' bike this weekend he put deposit on told him if he wants rent free he's cooking the meals until he gets a job so that's breakfast for dinner as well!
Well it's re opening this week under new management and KTM boy has his job back (still missing a months wages though) Prices will be dropped to and the Sunshine breakfast is back I may have to try it Sunday
Char, I have just put this on the Surrey Triumph Owners forum as a proposed ride-out. I will try to drag a few of the Ducati folks from this area along too. "Right folks. I have just checked my calendar and I cannot make a single weekend ride during the month of February due to being away. As a result I propose a ride-out on Saturday 2nd March to Avebury. As those of you who have been with me before you know, I like an early start and I am intending to set off at 8AM from the new Cobham services. I intend to ride M25, M3, A303 then to the Hilltop Diner for Brek. Then on to Avebury to look at the ancient stone circle and optional visit to the museum. After that back via Marlborough, Hungerford and Bracknell. The Hilltop Diner has recently been closed and reopened under new ownership. The son of an acquaintance on the Ducati forum works there as chef and was just purchasing his first bike when they shut and made all the staff redundant. He has fortunately been given his old job back by the new owners and I thought it would be nice to drum up some support." I'll keep you posted on numbers as they sign up assuming I have got any mates at all!!
Sounds cool Ill arrange the sunshine if you arrange the rest ) Let me know numbers nearer the time ill sort tables
If you could arrange some sunshine and warmth from today on I'd take a ride down there myself next weekend
He got it back when they re-opened under new management. Do keep up at the back otherwise we'll have to stop you being a mod
