Hi guys, I know this has been asked before, but couldn't find anything using the search function. Where can I buy a replacement spherical bearing for the lower shock mount on my 98 900 SS ie?
I had one spare, but I just sent it to Pat on here, I can get hold of them if needs be as they are a right bugger to track down, took me weeks and lots of bearing suppliers, they are a very odd size. Is it the Showa rear shock? Or do you know if the mounts are the same as the Showa rear shock? If you want me to track it down for you I can
Hi, Yes, the ie is a showa shock. If you come across one please let me know, I'm not due an mot until June, but i'd rather be prepared. It's either the lower bearing or a new shock, and there is nothing wrong with the shock, so replacing the bearing is preferable If you can track one down it would be very much appreciated, thanks.
is it squeeking? Do you want one or two? I think they were around £6-8 each, I should be out that way later today so can drop in and order one

Gaz, the IE one is a bugger to find I emailed K-tech(?) the Showa place in the UK and they had nothing like it, I went to several bearing places, the very last one I could go to, took them an hour to track it down, a very weird size
I think I rang K-teck & Showa and they did not come up with anything for mine either - so I stripped measured and got the part number off it and hunted it down. Any danger of the sizes and part number, I here the ie is a bit longer and an improvement might do the swap if I can get one at right price, which will probably mean renovating it. Cheers, Gaz
