Uk Spec Headlight Dip Beam Deflector Plate Wanted For 748 - 916

  1. Hi All,
    As the heading says I'm looking for and need a UK spec headlight dip beam deflector plate for a 748 - 916 - 996 series if anyone has one in a broken headlight etc. I imported a 916 from Holland a few years back and only now starting to get it sorted out properly so any help would be gladly received and really appreciated. I have read that you can make one but looking at the EU plate I've removed it looks quite a precise piece.

  2. I have a UK headlight unit you could have for £200. came off a bike with only 5000 miles.

    Thanks for the reply, I'm really just after the deflector plate not the whole unit, but if I get stuck its an option.

  4. If you are talking about a deflector plate inside a projector, then I might have one. You would be better off either fitting yours backwards or cutting yours flat though. Flat would give you a flat dip as most modern bikes have.

  5. I made one from an old coke tin. Just reverse the step of the foreign one.

    Thanks for the reply, can you fit it backwards as it is stepped forwards away form the projector lens? Also can you explain further what you mean by flat dip please? As RickyX says it may be easy to make one.

    yes it is the deflector plate in the projector I'm after. If you've got a UK one please let me know how many beer tokens you would like sir. Pm me if you prefer.
