Hello Ducati Forumers! Firstly, what a great site, I pick up my 900ss tomorrow. It's a 1991 model and it's just what I want as the basis of a project I'm going to build. I will shortly have a 900SL seat unit available if anyone wants one! Right, down to business. Amongst the many mods I have in store for the bike I am going to fit a Ducati 750 F1 style fairing and seat unit to the bike. I have searched the web and found many sources for replica kit, at greatly varying prices. As the bike will be a road bike (mainly) I am keen to secure a heavier duty fairing/seat as I want it to stand the test of time. Can anyone recommend a source for these items or does anyone have some kit they want to move on? Any advice greatfully received. Thanks Jared
I think your best bet is ging to be the replica stuff. Some of the kit from Germany is pretty good and will be a lot cheaper than genuine bodywork, if you can find some! As an ex F1 owner, although the seat unit was thick the fairing wasn't brilliant in places! You may also find you'll need to chop it about a bit?
Oh no! Please dont ruin a very rare 91 white frame ss by cutting it about. The bordi early bikes should be cherished
