It's elite superbike arse selling them, but forks have come up for sale https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-D...8620304:g:5IkAAOSwh5JfN79e&LH_ItemCondition=4 Although for that money you can by a used set of FGR800 forks and still have change.
I'd say they're not a price actually!! Wouldn't mind a set of FGR800's for cheaper though. Any contacts?
When they do come up they're never more than around the 3.5 - 4k mark, the same for the fgr300 range. The only difference with the D16RR units seems to be that the sliders are stock ducati 53/56 and that the seals are for a road bike rather than the low friction seals for the race bike forks, which necessitate the 300km service intervals.
When I was looking for D16 forks for my bike, I was told that they are cheaply built and just look good. I went for 46mm superbike forks in the end. I also was told that Ducati dealers were selling them for around 1500 new, to clear stock.
That's really interesting, so although made to look like the full fat SBK stuff, probably no better than stock roadbike ohlins, rather than the full sbk gas shock with road seals on them which I thought they were. Which forks did you get in the end @final_edition ?
I have the same as these. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DUCATI-O...996-998-RS-MAGNESIUM-CORSE-YOKES/133423773291 But at nowhere near the cost.
