I was also wondering that, just in case I pimp up my seat with the Ducbike cover, can I swop them over??
I've been looking at the Corbin seat, I had one on a previous bike and it was by far the most comfortable seat I have ever had. I spoke to Corbin UK and they only have one listed for the 1200 at the moment. I also checked with Ducati dealer and they say they are different part numbers so in theory it won't fit.....but it might? As it happens Corbin UK are only an hour from me and they have a 1200 one in stock, so I'm going down there next week to try it. I will get back with the answer.
The riders seat from a 2015 DVT fits the 2018 1260 model. Not sure about versions prior to the DVT but I think not.
Thanks. In that case presumably nothing has changed from at least 2015 onwards, so the 2017 1200 Corbin seat I am trying should fit my 1260. I will know for sure Tuesday
I have altered my 1200 DVT seat with gel cushions and bought a Ducati comfort seat both fitting on my new 1260S however I stll have to break after every 2 hours the nice thing is that you will not be pushed forward against the tank as much as with the original.
I forgot to update my original post. As said above I have also just fitted a Corbin 1200 seat to my 1260. So presumably any seat listed for a 1200 will also fit the 1260.
I cannot say there is a difference between the two and I have to accept I have to strech my legs every 11/2 hour but have a coffee and relax is not really a punishment although it was an expensive exercise
I have a modified 16 DVT seat for sale in the for sale bit above this on the Multistrada area if your interested, very cumfy.
