@Rosso - I thought it was a better pic. I can ask him for one without the phone fitted if you like?

  2. What phone were you using?

I guess it’s luck of the draw sometimes with kit, however, my Rider 400 was such a temperamental piece of junk that I let it go with my Tuono when I sold the bike.

  3. That looks the ticket ET, thanks!
Has he just used OEM qualdlock stuff or has he adapted it in any way?
    Last question, promise!

  4. Standard Quadlock. No adaption.

  5. Which multi? Older 1200 ones have a power point plumbed in, you just need tonsokder (or connect somehow) your power source to the wires. It’s behnd the upper lhs side fairing.

Newer ones have a don plig rhs of clocks, you can get ones that have usb out. Also, if newer ones, you have usb and another din under the seat. I ran a din plug, soldered a length of wire to it and ran to front of the bike and fitted a waterproof usb out at the bars.

I have it somewhere in the garage, I’ll see if I can find to to take a picture

  6. I think the overheating iPhone problem is linked to high temp, direct sunlight and being charged. Battery gets hot and shuts everything down. Had it a few times too, hence I bought a proper bike unit.

  7. Legend, thanks pal.

  8. 2015 Dvt Bradders , pic would be appreciated

  9. OK same as mine...bit late mow (I forgot!) but I'll have a look if I can remember in the morning before work

  10. I've got my phone sat in the top pocket of the Givi 4ltr tank lock bag powered via the front Hella socket through an Ultimate Addons USB-C lead. I have to have the screen on full brightness to see it well and its rubbish in direct sunlight but I had to go down this route as my rubbish LG-G5 has no decent mounts available for it and I couldn't justify £400 for a dedicated set up. Total cost was bag £70, lock £12 and cable £16 with the added bonus of the ability to chuck all my pocket junk into the little tank bag, downside is having to cart the little bag around with you when parked.
