  14. This past weekend I had a chance to ride the Monster 1200s and S1000R back to back on the track. (I have also ridden them back to back on the road)
Personally, if I wanted one bike to do most things the S1000R wins by a mile. It’s so easy to ride. You can ride it slowly to the shop to buy milk and bread and be with peace with the world. For a little touring I would put on the little headlight fairing and I am sure you could ride all day without a problem. On the track it out performs the Monster. Its turns so easy and is so nimble. You get the feeling you are riding a ball.

The Monster 1200s on the other hand was a bag of fun on the street. The L-Twin torque turns you turn into this hooligan that wheelies from every traffic light and Stop sign. The sound from the Termignoni pipes is eargasmic. Touring I guess would be tough because there is no fairing option and I don't believe it should have that option. On the track it needed a little more muscle to flick about in the corners. If I had a few bikes this would be the one to have when misbehaving with the boys. I WANT ONE SO BADLY!

  15. From:

Corrected for you bradders - thank me in your own time. :D

I really enjoyed a demo ride on one when they first came out. Surprisingly good bike, and massive grin factor. Flat bars or clip ons, maybe a headlamp swap from a street fighter and it would look brutal.:upyeah:

  16. Bradders...... just go for it life is short have fun while you can because those bloody legs of yours are useless at times... look at them now up resting due to damage :innocent::blush::bucktooth::thinkingface:

  17. @bradders just buy my 1198 and be done with it. :upyeah:

  20. Buy the 1198. Awesome bike
It's got that much torque you could probably fit a tow bar and tow a caravan to burnham on sea with it,everyone's happy then
