Knocking noise from the front screen

  1. I'm getting a knocking noise when the bike goes over bumps and tracked it down to the screen.

    The screen it self is firmly screwed to the mountings but the bottom mounting where it slides through the relevant part of the fairing has enough movement to make the knocking noise. I know there needs to be some slack so the screen can move but the knocking noise is a bit annoying.

    Anyone else experienced this?

  2. This has been well documented on other forums & I think deemed as a "characteristic" of the bike!

  3. you can add shims to the bottom fixing to reduce the movement but i don't know if you can eliminate it completely

  4. I did that, used nylon washers so that although all slack taken up the screen still slides ok - fiddly job to do!
