Full Face Snorkel Masks ??

  1. Standard face masks are all very similar in quality relative to price - I' ve used US Divers & Cessi sub and had no problems whatsoever. Its all about how the mask fits to your face. Put it on - without the strap - breath in through your nose, and if it forms a good suction to your face shape its fine. Remember that the silicone needs to be washed off well in fresh water after use.

The small fins are useful to have when snorkeling, the big ones are over kill, and can get in the way. You can often get a complete mask snorkel & small fins in sets at great prices.

  2. We got engaged in Kuredu, possibly the most beautiful place I’ve been, but fuck me it was boring

  3. Qualified diver for over 10 years, not an expert, but experienced.

We bought the Decathlon ones 2 years ago, and they worked brilliantly. My girlfriend is not a strong swimmer, and could not get on with the traditional face mask and snorkel. It took her about 2 mins to get to grips with the decathlon full face mask, loved it and used it every day of the holiday.

You do need to go and try them on, as they come in different sizes.

On this occasion, spending 3 or 4 times as much, will not get you something that is 3 or 4 times better than the decathlon one.

  5. I agree, 100%. Looked at the Ocean View Aria today, exactly the bloody same as the Decathlon Subea model, but 95 quid, and I honestly could not tell the difference. The only issue I had with them, is I like a bit of free diving and you can't equalise but you can with the Orsen or similar, but for my lass, we bought the Decathlon one today :upyeah:

  14. We actually want a quiet break doing very little except diving/snorkelling, eating and drinking etc, but we have been informed that quite a lot has been developed and built in the last 10 years (including new bars, restaurants etc etc) ? But either way, one man's boring is still another's paradise :D
