Hi, this is my first 749 (a 2004) and the first bike I have owned that has used injectors over carbs. I was just wondering what the general feeling is about regular unleaded against premium for this bike and of people generally would use an injector cleaner additive. Thanks, Daniel.
Yes, theoretically, your 749 will run fine on standard unleaded but something like Shell V Power has additives in it that will keep the inside of your motor nice and sparkly. Once you’ve put a few tankfuls through it you can always alternate or put half a tankful in it every now and again to save money because VPower is a lot more expensive.
