  1. As above gents. its one of those things i kinda suspected but ordered anyway. ebay special turned up and is total shite. Plated steel screws, rubber boot way too thin. whole thing made out of cheap shitty brittle plastic and the mounting point has a tightening screw which is mild steel...id hazzard 3 months til something breaks or the thing just rots....

Anyway, can someone recommend something of a decent quality...?

    cheers.

  2. Perfect...just what I need.

  4. I’ve been using this kind for years now, and on two different bikes (same Kit as I fit it to my power distribution module and ripped the lot when switching to KTM).

  6. So, i ordered one of these...dont anyone else order one....crap, didnt work and that little converter is housed in a very thin plastic....it kinda fell apart while i was fitting it, i pressed on and it didnt charge the phone...

I also ordered the SW motech one..now that was great quality....but, it came with no way of mounting the fucking thing so its sat on the side...ive mailed them to see if either the mount is missing or, i have to order one which would piss me off a bit as it didnt mention it anywhere, and, it cost over 30 quid...i dont mind paying but id expect to have a mount in there...

I took pot luck and ordered one of these....

And it was really good, good plastic ( a little bit soft ) so it wont snap and break, just two wires back to the battery and came with a handlebar mount....and, it works...

    So, moderate success so far....

  7. If you have a DIN/Hella type socket on your bike, consider one of these
The rubber seals (which also seal the connector when a USB lead is plugged in) are great when charging in the rain. I have killed more than one charger that lacks them.

Be aware that like every other charger out there, when there are two sockets, the power advertised is the combined total for the two sockets - not what's available from each.

  8. Ah...no din socket....so,

    1. ebay spesh on the zed
    2. SW motech one on the hyper ( waiting on the mount situation )
    3. I reckon another ebay spesh on the rsv....cos its small and i can tuck it away...
