Suspension Set Up @ Sdc Stevenage

  1. I don`t know how many of you are like me and a bit rubbish mechanically and not always sure of the best way to alter suspension to get the best out of your bike but for those of you that are can I recommend you take your bike somewhere that can help you. I recently took my monster 1200 to SDC in Stevenage. I have used them once before on an older monster and found them very helpful but this time the changes they have made are nothing short of astonishing.
My 1200 seemed to be simultaneously both too hard and too soft at the back and was also reluctant to turn in, it required quite a lot of rider input and I seemed to be making things worse whatever I did. As well as this info I was also asked about my riding style and what I wanted from the bike. Lo and behold £65 later the bike is transformed , it just flows everywhere now and is more comfortable too. I`m not really sure what they have done but the improvement is immense.
Anyway, SDC in Stevenage, not a shiny showroom but very helpful and the best £65 I have spent since 1982 and the incident with the nun and the pantomime horse in a fancy dress shop in Soho.

  2. Just put mine on medium and everything was great. £65 sounds very reasonable ,nice when it's noticeably better.

  3. It's been said a few times in here, sometimes people think setting the bike up right for you is often seen as difficult and expensive.

Most of the times a manual suspension bike set up, can be done by a suspension specialist for less than £100 and is probably the best money you can spend on your bike.
