i have the Helite GP Air 2 vest, they seem to be making lots of small updates as time goes on ( i think a version 3 is out with a slightly different front panel) its a little bulky on the area where the air bottle sits, and to be honest with my 996 i felt it resting on the tank, on the panigale all is fine. not sure of the take up in UK but on the continent most trackdays are well stocked with people wearing a vest of some sorts, more so in the fast groups. i wouldn't be surprised if it becomes a requirement in a few years
First picture is a buddy of mine crashing at Assen, older vest (turtle) and the second and third are my Vest test prior to buying it.
Spot on Bradders, even though it is a looser fit in every day use, the vest is sized so that on inflation it is tight but not too tight to wind you (main fault of incorrect sized inwardly inflating vests)
there are also companies already doing modifications and extra panel work for the GP air model- https://www.rabatz-racing.de/airbag/airbagwesten/patches/
im going to sort out a panel design, to brighten up the vest a little, and see what it comes out like
