Airhawk Seat Cushions

  1. Very good Dave used one en-route to Misano, not a numb bum in sight!

  2. my fazer owning mate loves his

  3. Is cruiser a code for ass?

  4. I've got two. One neoprene one and one of the less robust material (started with this one, it was cheaper and I ended up giving it to my Mrs when she rode pillion, thus giving me the perfect excuse to buy the more expensive one ;) ). They're very , very good if used correctly (ie. not over-inflated).

  5. Was that on your D16 Roy? If so, was it straightforward to fit?

  6. A seat cushion on a D16RR....priceless.

What next ape hangers and tassels?

  7. That Debonair seat is a direct copy of the Airhawk one, if the quality is good it should be a bargain.

  8. Already got them Ron ... and the footboards.

  9. Is it a direct copy? The Debonair web page says "this pad should not be confused with others currently on the market that do not have interconnecting cells ..." ... isn't that a reference to the Airhawk?

  10. Of course not, it was on the RSV4, 3500 miles in one week on the plank it is fitted with as a seat is too much.

  11. Hmmm - I'm looking at two weeks away in France later this year on mine. First over the channel with SW Bikers, hooking up with the Le Mans trip from here if it goes ahead, then onto Paris for work for a few days work then down to Magny Cours for the DRC track day and home. Think I'll need the seat pad, emergency fuel bottles and a 17" rear wheel!

  12. Dave, wouldn't it be better to take the Desmo in a van? It's a pain in the *rse riding a 50 to 75 mile tank range, we both know the seat is hard as hell and running up the mileage bumbling along a French/English motorway?
I used it to commute twice into London, so that was 2 fuel stops on the way there and 2 on the way back, so that's 3 just to get you to the channel and another required when you arrive? French petrol stations and 'lack of/Sundays' are legendary, just ask Rod and his free wheeling shenanigans on a 1098?

  13. Surely hemorrhoid cream is cheaper?

  14. Dave already uses that on his crows feet to attract Luca when they're going to the cinema!

  15. I hear you Roy but I will have the luxury of time to spare so can steer clear of the motorways. I really want to make the most of the Desmosedici in the next three years so I see this France trip as a bit of an adventure. However, I'm sure you could well be right (and you have more experience of the bike than me). I'll experiment with doing some distance on it regarding comfort and fuel stops before making my decision! If it ain't doable on the D16 I would rather take my SPS than drive it in a van!

  16. No, the Airhawk has interconnecting panels, there are some cheaper versions sold by M & P and others which dont.

  17. Ah, fankoo
