Riders Cardiff

  1. I couldn't get my MTS from them as they had sold their used one.
However I have bought a larger screen from them for the bike and today I ordered a topbox and a set of pannier liners.
They could not have been more helpful. Knocked a decent amount off the RRP without much asking on my part and are doing the pannier recall work this week whilst I wait for my topbox to arrive.
    I was impressed.

  2. Now that sounds like better service. I was in Riders (Bridgewater) yesterday and may well be paying them another visit soon. Are you enjoying the Mutley?!!!

  3. I am so far, yes. Riders have been on the phone today as the dealer who supplied my bike also supplied me with the recall kit for the panniers telling me that my local dealer would do the recall fitment for me.
Small problem. In order to get the kit they also have to had claimed the hours labour which means Riders have to charge me an hours labour (£83.40) to fit the kit.
So, without naming the supplying dealer on here (!) I have authorised Riders to go ahead with the work as I need the panniers for a holiday coming up soon. I have rung (can't speak to the right person) left an answerphone message and e-mailed the supplying dealer to see what they intend to do about it.
If they allow me the £83-odd off some accesories I'll be happy with that which I think is reasonable of me, if they refund me I'll be happier. We shall see before I get a little agitated over it.

  4. That sounds odd, I have taken cars to dealers that were not the original supplier, surely they will bill Ducati for the labour as its their fault that they need to do the work under recall?

  5. They're trying to sort it out between them so they can do the work for me FOC.
When the dealer asks for a recall kit for the panniers they give the VIN Number. Ducati immediately credits the dealer that they have issued the kit to with the payment fr fitting the kit and the bike is immediately registered as having had the kit fitted.

  6. All done and dusted, both parties were very helpful. Couldn't fault the service.

  7. Ah I see now, makes complete sense. Glad you've got your suitcases sorted.
