  3. yeah...it looks to me like one of those fire and forget upgrades...one off payment...got a mate whose worked in the bearing industry for 20 years..might see if i can get some cheap...anyone know the bearing type used on the hyper..im guessing theres a bearing number stamped on them but id obviously have to get the wheels out to get the number...

  4. Please tell me this is for your push bike and not the Ducati?

  5. And the zed if its a worthwhile upgrade...

  6. so only part ceramic bearings then with steel balls. If not then your mad and crazy and tell your insurance company.

  7. Sorry. Are they good or bad or is autumn war about to break out????

  9. Depends on how mucn i can get them for....buy some bearing from say, Demon Tweeks and youll be paying massive premium.....got to the horses mouth... BSL (Bearing services Limited) and the price will be alot more palatable...so im not going to get them "whatever it takes" if i can get them cheap and mean under 100 or less per wheel then ill think about it...

  12. Hardly a scientific test, and yes ceramic bearing do cut friction but don't give longevity in a motorcycle wheel environment unless it's racing.
    Bloody nice wheels though:)

  13. The blurb says they last 3 times as long.

    Optional Ceramic Bearings
Ceramic bearings are an extra cost option - supplied as a set of two for front wheel only (no bearings in the rear wheel). Our Hybrid Ceramic Bearings incorporate the highest-quality metal races, encasing very tough and extremely durable and corrosion free ceramic balls, to provide the following extensive benefits when compared with regular steel:
    • 40% less friction generated
    • 60% less rotating mass
    • 3-5 times longer lifespan
    • Lower vibration levels
    • Cooler, quieter & smoother running

  14. Well, i think ill be looking for some...next thing is to take the lazy route and find out whats in mine (without taking the wheels out)

  15. Cant see a problem myself! :)

  16. So I'm lead to believe; is that if the bearings are pure ceramic, and not steel covered in ceramic, them they should be ok; and will cost approx £200 per set.
Anything much less than that are likely to be steel coated in ceramic and arguably not worth the risk of failure ?

  17. What do you hope to get from fitting these?
