A Favour To Ask - Part 2

  1. This is all @Sev 's fault.
I have been playing with a speedo from a MTS1000DS

I am quite happy that I have identified the 3 transponder codes for the dash (highlighted in blue).
With some conversion to binary you can calculate the T5 transponder code. Fortunately I have some software that does it for you. As I have the 3 keys for the dash I have confirmed the info. The bypass card and the mileage must be in the dump but I have not identified it yet. Any observations would help.

Here's the favour. Does anyone have a wrecked set of 749/999 clocks with a key? Or even the code card and a key. The EEPROM with the immo on is on the reverse of the circuit board. It would appear that the tacho needle needs removing so the dash can be taken apart.

  2. The F1 F9 72 4B 60 02 03 75 must mean something as it is repeated 3 times

  3. It had nuffink to do with me guv... honest :eyes:

  4. I've got a 749/999 dash, and a virgin uncoded set of keys and card, with its proper keys if they're of any help.
The aim was always to get it virginised, mileage corrected to the MOT document, 999 showing on the display and programmed to the ecu you flashed for me, and the keys paired.

  5. Bloody hell, that looks more complicated than the stuff the pesky Russians use to meddle with the tinternet

  6. Be specific, which stuff?

Used this in the past with other clocks and I’m sure it would work with the 999. Also used two spoons either side. Can go wrong though. For most clocks the needle is fixed to the central stem so a simple extractor pulls the needle off the stem. Any bikes I’ve played around with, the stem comes out with the needle. Have came across ones that have been glued though as loose on stepper motor shaft. Some years ago a mate dismantled his broken 749 clock and obtained some free internals from ducati leeds and I suggested the technique as per picture. Didn’t inform me of any problems. Hope it helps.

  10. Is this purely a memory dump of volatile data ? I presume none of these hex codes are program related. Some of these Hex codes may simply be the hex equivalent of a programming mnemonic but then you would need more info on controller type ie hitachi etc

[/ QUOTE]
Νομίζω ότι ο κωδικός PIN είναι 56214.I will sent you dump from 999 clocks when i return in my home(sunday)

  14. Thanks for the bin file. Can you help interpreting it. I am OK with the transponder codes in yellow

  16. Big thanks to @ben155
Can now calculate the bypass code card number
For the MTS1000DS dash the red key number is 00 00 10 0E F2 A4 in hex (converts to 7D5F000008704F25)
The bypass code card is calculated from the last five digits, where 1 to 9 remain the same and A=1,B=2,C=3,D=4,E=5,F=6 and 0=7
The bypass code is therefore 56214
As I have a Zed Bull key programmer it is an easy job to read the chip in the red key, convert to hex and calculate the bypass code.
I have a 999 dash with keys and code card and have confirmed this.
So, if you have a bike using the red key I can provide the bypass code if you don't have the card.
