Hi All, Planning a bike trip across to france in a couple of months and wondered what my options would be for a mobile phone connection whilst riding as we also have a back up vehicle coming with us and would like to be able to keep in touch. Is there anything out there thats hands free enabling me to use the phone whilst riding? I have an android galaxy S2 phone. We are looking at an initial 12 hour ride and will obviously be leaving the 4x4 and trailer way behind. Is there anything out there that would be suitable without costing a fortune, it would make things a lot easier. Thanks, Phil

I doubt that you will leave the 4x4 that far behind. A few years ago I spent several summer hols in the south of France. On the trip back used to do it from St Maxime to Calais in 13 hours. All the way up I was passed by the same bikes sevearl times. One of which was a Dutch 748 2 up. Bikes did 3 stops to my one for fuel. Can't help with the phone, Why not use it on one of your many stops you are going to have. A lot of the service stations on French motorways have free wi fi
Thanks for the replies guys, some interesting reading there mark. Which scala do you have troy? Higgy, believe me, we will leave him way behind, he drives like miss daisy is in there plus he will have a trailer with 2 bikes on and michael buble playing in the cab .
