Recommendation for trackers : MOTOVUDU dvd

Discussion in 'Ducati General Discussion' started by kope999R, Feb 19, 2013.

  1. Hi just to say i'm preparing for the track season and found Simon Crafar's Motovudu DVD on how to ride the track
personally it's the best dvd on the subject i'v'e seen and it confirms what i've been doing ( at slow pace) for many years as it felt comfortable and natural.. furthermore it gives great insight in why it works and how to apply it. Also the list of 'to vaoid at all cost' is extensive.

and there are great shots of sliding an braking on a wonderful Aragon track!

one hast to be extremely fast not to be able to learn form this! :)

    just loved it!

    gr

  2. Thank you for reminding me about this - I meant to get it after meeting him in Almeria last year - he is such a lovely, lovely man. I didn't actually get any tuitiion with him, but he had seen me going round and very kindly came up to me a couple of times with some little pointers, like "don't bother getting your ass back in the seat for the straight, just hang out straight from left to right" - no rest for the wicked, then, ha ha!

    :upyeah:

  3. OK I just ordered it :)

Not sure it will make me an axe murderer, but hopefully there's some nice shots of Simon in it, mm..

  4. I was really intrested in this when it came out last year. I had expected it to be available at either the NEC or the London show, but couldnt find it. For a £20 dvd, I didnt want to pay £7.95 in postage

  5. Amazon = free delivery

  6. I spent a week with Simon last year and he is one of the nicest, modest guys you'll ever meet, with a filthy sense of humour!
He was one of my biking heroes and really lived up to the image I had of him in my mind. He even signed my old Crafar rep helmet for me.

  7. +1, just ordered it with Amazon.

  8. hold tight, it s a great view to see a 1000CC squeezed in a controlled power slide or being backed up whilst braking...
the man sure knows how to do it!

  9. He knows how to, how is he at explaining and showing ohers in the vid?

  10. to me, amongst the best i've seen... it all makes sense...

  11. I'm always up for a bit of learning and the Andy Ibbott youtube clips I have alongside the TWOT books have stood me in good stead so far, this may be another worth getting.

So how is the vid split tuition v back story? Ie mins spent showing/explaining v mins on 'behind the man'? Been caught with vids before where its 90 mins long and an hr is them saying how great they are ;-)

  12. I overtook him a few times at Almeria, so I must be faster.

When you get the DVD Brenda, I'll point out where he's going wrong.

  13. Now you ve geven yourself away, casey!

  14. this video is very very good indeed.
lots of useful myth busting tips
he is an excellent instructor and one of the nice-est racers (make that people) i have ever met

the seriously man knows how to ride, watched him go round turn 1 at almeria no handed while bringing one of his pupils on 22 seconds a lap!!!

bradders, the 'about the man stuff' is in a separate movie, the tuition part is non stop, jam packed how to ride bikes faster stuff
