Removing Panigale Cylinder Liners

Discussion in 'Technical Help' started by Connor, Nov 12, 2018.

  1. Hello!

    Anyone own or have pictures of the tool used to remove liners from panigale engines, Part number;
    88713.3878. Can't seem to find a picture of it, I've looked at the 1299 manual and tool pictured is the fitting tool not removal. Not paying nearly $400 + shipping + tax, I have a mill, lathe and to much time.

    Thanks!
    Connor

  2. number 9 is also the removal tool, as i pulled my cylinders on friday using the similar tool.

    it used 4 small 'hooks' to pull the cylinder liners up and out of the seat as the offset nature of the casings will not let you split the motor with the liners in place.

  3. Do you have any pictures of the tool? I have a good idea of how I'm going to make it but be nice to see what the real one looks like
